Uratex/RGC Group of Companies has also fortified its daily activity as well as its facilities with further sustainable operations such as acquiring 6 electric vehicles or e-bikes for its day-to-day operation.
In 2023 through contracts with Renewable Energy Supplier 8 of our factories are now powered with clean energy. This means almost 53% of our power is now sourced from Renewable Energy. Uratex is also using LED lights in its various offices, plants, and factories to conserve energy without sacrificing the quality.
In the Philippines, water is considered a scarce natural resource. With millions of Filipinos still lacking an adequate and safe source of water for their daily lives, Uratex/RGC Group of Companies is also acting responsibly in conserving water and using other methods of water harvesting in its Operation.
As a manufacturing company, waste management plays a big role in conserving its resources as well as the planet. At Uratex, most of our post-industrial waste is recycled and upcycled as our means to divert these away from landfills. We are also compliant with EPR law which mandated us to recover 20% of our plastic packaging footprint. With the partnership, the group’s plastic packaging is diverted from landfills and waterways, thereby addressing the worsening plastic pollution.
Uratex/RGC Group of Companies remains dedicated to its mission of being the customer’s choice, with products and services that can be relied upon and depended on. Uratex will remain compliant with Montreal Protocol through the continued use of raw materials that are non-ozone depletes.
Uratex/RGC Group of Companies also designed a program for its employees that help them in their efforts of having a safer and cleaner environment. With its main responsibility of protecting nature, the Company has been active in planting trees to prevent deforestation in our county. Since 2018, the Company has planted more than 156,000 trees in different areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. On top of this, the Company also converted some parcels of its properties to farms for its U Grow Program.
