QCC in RGC: 25 Years of Persistence and Unwavering Practice

The Quality Committed Circle in the RGC Group of Companies celebrated its 25th Anniversary this year with the theme “Engagement and Ingenuity: Critical Pathway to Global Quality Culture.” Held in Miller, Quezon City last May 4, 2019, the event was participated by nine circles from both the Production and Non-Production Categories. These groups emerged as finalists from the total of 50 QCC groups with participants from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao plants. These competition champions will represent RGC Group of Companies in the Regional Event (Quality Circle Practitioner Association) as a qualifier for the National Competition on November 19-21 at Clark, Pampanga. One of the highlights of the event was the learning session with renowned practitioner of quality circle, Ms. Marge Lamberte. Among the key points that she shared was the value of malasakit as the core of all initiatives and improvements in quality and productivity. Ms. Lamberte was also one of the judges, along with Ms. Cecille Papa and Ms. Vhigie Sison, who both also share the same passion and commitment in quality circle. As expected, all circles showed spirit and determination as they aimed for championship. In the end, it was the innovative projects that got the most attention. Roberts’ JIGY 3.0 that took home the crown as champion in Production Category while SWP3 CLIQUE of RGC Textile – Pasig bested other competitors in the Non-Production Category.
These victories wouldn’t have been made possible without the perseverance of our Corporate Productivity Action Group (CPAG), the dedication of all circles, and the support of RGC Group’s Management. Our 25th Anniversary of Quality Committed Circle proves we’re not far behind pursuing improvements, and when we do it, we do it together because we’re STRONGER TOGETHER.
